Sam Marchand

Sam Marchand is a student at the University of Notre Dame double-majoring in Finance and Political Science. He achieved perfect 5/5 scores on the College Board®'s AP® U.S. History, AP® World History, and AP® European History tests. After earning his Eagle Scout, Sam was also the Texas state champion in social studies as well as current events in 2021. Sam is also active in speech and debate, being a three-time UIL State qualifier in both Policy and Congressional debate in Texas and serving as the President of Speech and Debate at the University of Notre Dame. Active in local government, Sam has interned with his local city council and chamber of commerce. He also has professional experience in buy-side private equity and the U.S. House of Representatives. In his spare time, Sam enjoys historical reading on Wikipedia, flying drones, and playing with his cat, Walter.

Biraj participates in research, being a published author on a bioinformatics project, and can help students enter the field of college research. She is passionate about interdisciplinary learning, having earned a 1570 on the SAT (790 Reading, 780 Math) and 5/5 on the AP Biology, Chemistry, English Language and Composition, Environmental Science, Human Geography, Statistics, U.S. History, and World History. Crystal conducts atmospheric science research with NASA SEES and chemistry research with university faculty. She is a National Chemistry Olympiad Semifinalist and was consistently dominant Texas at academic tournaments. She was valedictorian of her class and received admission offers from Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth, UPenn, Rice, and Yale. In her free time, she enjoys birdwatching and photography.
